sample_remark The sample was collected from the largest exposure of the Quandong Conglomerate in the core of the Walker Creek Anticline (HENBURY). At this location, the unit is predominantly pebble conglomerate and pebbly sandstone, but it also contains interbeds of sandstone. Sample HB17ND402 is an immature, coarse- to medium-grained, gritty quartz sandstone. Cross beds are common, and bed thickness varies from 10 cm to massive. It is underlain by massive-bedded sandstone of the Areyonga Formation, and overlain by thinly bedded to flaggy, fine-grained micaceous sandstone interpreted to belong to the Winnall Group.
