| sample_remark | Sample HB17CJE561 was collected from low outcrop of Tempe Formation near the base of a moderately sloping low hill. It comprises pale grey to buff coloured sandy dolostone with weak solution weathering. It is weakly laminated and has poorly preserved cross beds in some horizons. Bedding varies ca. 8-15 cm in thickness. At the sample location, the Tempe Formation sits unconformably on poorly exposed Neoproterozoic sedimentary rocks (Loves Creek Formation, Bitter Springs Group); it is overlain in a structural conformity (but with a depositional disconformity) by the Illara Sandstone. |
