sample_remark Primary textures in the rhyolite have been almost completely obliterated by devitrification and pervasive quartz-chlorite-sericite alteration with quartz the only primary mineral preserved. The rhyolite mainly displays a fragmental (pyroclastic) fabric with elongate clasts, up to ca 4 cm long, showing a preferred orientation. Many of these clasts resemble fiamme with lenticular outlines and wispy terminations.
