| sample_remark | Stuart-Smith et al 1998 paraphrased " The sample is from the Frampton volcanics composed of meta-rhyolite, meta-rhyodacite, and siliceous slate. This unit intertongues with the Gooandra Volcanics and formed in a subaerial to shallow water environment (Basden, 1986). Zircons fom this sample are clear, often extensively cracked, and show a range of morphologies, from elongate, to more equant, highly faceted grains. A number of the more elongate grains contain axial rod-like glass inclusions. Zoning is uncommon, and no obvious cores are present." |
