sample_remark Glen et al 2016 paraprashed: "This sample is extracted from the Mundoonen Sandstone. The Mundoonen Sandstone lies 52 km north of Canberra, lacks fossils, but lies above a latest Ordovician black shale and is faulted below Late Silurian volcanics (Sherwin, 2012). It consists of thick- and thin-bedded, coarse- to fine-grained sublithic to quartz-rich turbidites. Scattered grit-size quartz grains with angular crystal faces are probably volcanic. Scattered clasts of chert, phyllite and mudstone (Sherwin, 2012) were probably recycled from Early-Middle Ordovician turbidites. "
