Pumice fragments uncommon, small, elongate, lamellar and recrystallised. Rock fragments beige and ferruginised, fine-grained volcanics. Shards slender, randomly oriented; triaxons common. Vesicles slightly flattened but normally broken. Groundmass micropoikilitic. Kelk (1986) described the member as being crystal-rich and partially to completely welded, but variable along strike." |
