sample_remark Kent 1994 paraphrased: "Distinctive characteristics of the Rockvale Adamellite include the presence of minor garnet and amphibole, primary red-brown biotite and green subsolidus biotite. A pure zircon separate was prepared from a sample of relatively undeformed adamellite adjacent to the northern contact of the pluton. Zircons from this sample are typical of magmatic zircons from granitoid rocks, predominantly consisting of simple clear euhedral prismatic grains ranging between 100-250 um in length with aspect ratios between 4-6. Some larger, more complex, grains are present, and many zircons contain small clear and opaque inclusions. Zircons are occasionally zoned, although optically discernible cores are rare. "
