| sample_remark | Foden et al. (2006): U-Pb data were collected from titanites (and feldspars, as a means of making accurate common Pb corrections) from late (post-D3) undeformed felsic dykes (sample 01RC1) that cut both granodiorite and diorite. Titanite from the felsic dyke (01RC1) yielded 206Pb/238U and 207Pb/235U ages and two-point 238U/204Pb-206Pb/204Pb and 235U/204Pb-207Pb/204Pb isochron values in the range 486.5 +/- 0.6 Ma to 485 +/- 10 Ma. The concordia age is 486 +/- 2 Ma, and 207Pb/206Pb age is 488 +/- 3 Ma. These ages are younger and statistically different from the ages of the granodiorite and diorite, and are consistent with the sequence of intrusive events. They place a minimum age on the cessation of Delamerian deformation at Reedy Creek of ~486 Ma. |
