sample_remark | Very light grey, pinkish grey, to light brown. Generally microcrystalline, sucrosic in parts. Typically massive, occassionally well-laminated with minor grey green claystone laminations. Fossiliferous in upper part, with good biomoldic porosity after brachiopods, crinoids, bryozoans and ?molluscs. Good vugular porosity (vugs up to 9cm diameter) in upper part, with vugs often partially filled with brownish, calcareous, silty-clay. Fractured in parts, giving fair to good fracture porosity, sometimes healed by secondary calcite and rarely, pyrite. Rare fenestral porosity, common stylolites. Very minor brecciation. |
