Late muscovite seritisation occurs in the matrix, and chlorite overgrows hornblende. Grains of potassium feldspar, plagioclase and hornblende are approximately 500 mm in size. Fine-grained matrix minerals including magnetite, apatite and biotite are roughly equigranular and are approximately 250 mm in size. Hornblende forms in elongate clusters of grains that define the foliation. |
