sample_remark The Wimberu Granite, near Wallaces Hill, is a Williams Batholith pluton comparable in age to the Malakoff, Yellow Waterhole and Capsize intrusions (i.e. close to 1500 Ma; Page and Sun, 1998 AJES). Conventional zircon data for a sample of altered, porphyritic Wimberu Granite had been plagued by Pb loss from the high-U grains, and gave an age in the interval 1560-1500 Ma (Wyborn et al. 1988).
