"sample_remark":"Core collected from DDH 83/4 (Dorrins et al., 1983) over a 30 cm depth interval from 172.50-172.80 m is interpreted as Doomadgee Formation. The Doomadgee Formation comprises the top of the Paleoproterozoic Fickling Group of the Mount Isa Province (Lawn Hill Platform). It is 200-400 m thick and contains shale, micaceous dolomitic fine-grained sandstone and siltstone, medium-to coarse-grained sandstone and pebble conglomerate (e.g. Grimes & Sweet, 1979; Sweet et al., 1981; Bradshaw et al., 2000; Ahmad & Munson, 2013a). The unit disconformably overlies the Mount Les Siltstone, is unconformably overlain by the South Nicholson Group, and is broadly equivalent in age to the Lawn Hill Formation (e.g. Page et al. 2000). Existing zircon U-Pb geochronology data on the unit, obtained from DDH 83/4 at 189.15-189.39 m on a sandstone, and 194.92-195.26 m on a tuffaceous siltstone-claystone, define maximum depositional ages of 1630 +/- 14 Ma (95% confidence; n = 8) and 1612 +/- 11 Ma (n = 15), respectively (Anderson et al., 2019b). Two core samples (Pasminco drillhole GC57) of pale-green tuff from the lower Doomadgee Formation yielded ages of 1619 +/- 5 Ma and 1613 +/- 5 Ma, interpreted to record the timing of deposition (Page & Sweet, 1998; Page et al., 2000). A tuffaceous metasedimentary layer sampled from outcrop yielded a maximum depositional age of 1632 +/- 14 Ma (Carson et al., 2011). K-Ar data on illite from the Doomadgee Formation and Walford Dolomite in DDH 83/4 yielded ages in the range ca 1378-1262 Ma, interpreted to reflect incomplete isotopic homogenisation during a regional ca 1172 Ma hydrothermal event (Uysal et al., 2004). Sample 2678484 was obtained from dark grey shale to compare the Re-Os age to U-Pb zircon age data and to investigate the potential effect of fluid flow on the Re-Os isotope system in this unit. TOC is ~1.35-1.49 wt% within 1-2 m of the sampled depth (Jarrett et al., 2018). The sample was divided into 11 sub-samples prior to analysis.",
